14th Day of MaragallThe party return to the Tower after spending the day trying bait the assassin into the open. That night goblins attack. Using expolding goblins to blow out the roof of the tower, goblins jump in, only to be sent to sleep by Aldazar, then killed by Clem and Malthius, when he arrives. Lyra turns to a wolf and heads up to help in the fight.

2nd Day of MaragallThe Party interrogates their prisoner, finding out his name is Sprat and that he is not a happy young man. He says he was forced into being with bandits, but goes very quiet when Grud questions how he joined the bandits and what he was doing before. He tells the Party that patrols are sent out regulalry and that they go in both directions from the castle. He hasnt been into the watch tower. The patrol is expected back but he didnt know when. He doesnt live in the castle, but in the houses outside it. He says the watch tower is about two days away.
Elf recovers the three riding horses that are still picketed some way from the camp, saddles them and brings them back to the Party.
As they are interrogating Sprat, the Party notice a large grey wolf walking towards them, down the road from the West. As it gets closer they see that the wolf is covered in blood, closer still and thankfully its Lyra returning after having caught the escaping guard.
The Party decide to let Sprat leave and go to Brigton. Clem uses some spell effects - red and purple sparkles - to persuade Sprat that he has committed to a magical oath to be good.
The Party camp for the night at the ruins. Clem makes an almost inedible meal. Elf hears noise during the night.
In the morning they leave for the tower, following the mountain path. As they travel along the side of the river running North, they notice figures on the top of the escarpment to the East. Grud and Aldazr realise they are hobgoblins. As they watch them, one of the hobgoblins takes a shot at the Party with his longbow. The shot falls short, posing no threat to the group. Elf decides to respond. This results in the hobgoblin with the bow taking an arrow in the head. He topples forward off the escarpment into the river. The Party stop at the end of the day and the night is uneventful.
The Party realise the Tower is closer than they expected and send out Lucien the owl to check on it. They then approach to within an hour and a half. Elf and Lyra scout ahead and check out the Tower, Elf flying over the top. Both then return to the Party and a plan is hatched.

2nd Day of MaragallThe party meet Morlique and head off towards the valley, crossing the river to be on the south side. Towards the end of the day they come to a point where the road leaves the river, moving away to the South. The Party can smell wood smoke. Morlique informs them that there is a ruined tavern ahead by a bridge. Clem sends up his owl and is told that there are several two legs by the ruin. Elf and Lyra scout out the ruin from the high ground that is east of the ruin and see two heavily armoured men, a individual in robes and a teenager with a dog.
The Party sneak in the trees to the south of the ruin. When they are spotted, they attack. Elf and Lyra strike with arrows and Clem and Aldazr with spells, targeting the individual in robes. He drops quickly and shorly after Grud and Trem go head to head with the two armoured men. The war dog attacks Elf and is quickly killed. The two guards are very tough but soon only one is left. At this point the teenager tries to heal one, and is then hit in the head, by an arrow from Elf, that seems to kill him instantly. Elf shouts to keep one alive but Grud kills the last man. Trem rushes to the boy and feeds him Goodberries to keep him alive.
Elf sees a third man galloping away on a horse, one of four hidden in the trees.
Aldazr asks Lyra to chase him down. Lyra drops some of her stuff and changes into Wolf form and heads of at full speed.

With Morlique having left the party clear out the Tower. With the excpetion of a Large pissed of spider in the basement, there are no threats. On the roof Grud and Clem meet two ravens. When Clem talks to them, it turns out Morlique has left them to keep an eye on the Party and the Tower. The Party spend the next few hours clearing out the Tower wth Elf and Lyra heading into town to buy supplies and pick up the wagon. Later returning with candles, two baths, buckets, mattresses for all and cleaning kit.Lyra tries out the bath, after warning the rest of the party. Later the Party reconvene for a slap up meal, enjoying some of the drink from the basement.The Party tell the ravens they will meet Morlique in the inn frst thing in the morning.

The party finally get chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of North Western Cabal over the next five uneeventful days. They arrive in Brigton on the evening of Saira's day, with the town's celebrations in full swing. Thet are challenged at the gate, but a little persuasion by Aldazr soon gets them inside. Heading to the inn, the party are treated well by the inn keeper when he realises they are Count Damar's party. The party eat a well deserved meal. While they eat they are visited by Mardan'ai Garesan d'asta the officer responsible for the Cabalian troops in Brigton. He is a young officer, but from what the party can see of the walls and the sentries, he is efficient. He seems to take and interest in Lyra.Lyra heads off to her room and takes the children to have a bath.
The party also meet the Mayor Lopaia who is very helpful and tells the Party he has been asked to provide a place for them and will be happy to show them the next morning.
1st Day of Maragall
The next morning soem of the Party head to the townhall to find the Mayor, while Grud and Trem go to the armourer to get the pieces of plate they have turned into full sets. They then catch up with rest of the Party. Mayor Lopaia and his deputy Skellik show the party to a Tower just outside the Town wallls. The Tower looks like it has seen better days. The Mayor and Skellik leave the Party at the bottom of the steps and leave in a bit of a hurry. Heading in the Party find a large key on the floor of the entrancehall of the Tower. A they are taking it all in, a Shadar Kai arrives, seemingly out of thin air and introduces herself as Morlique, Count Damar's contact. After some abuse from Morlique, who has a very dim view of where the Party have decided to put down roots, she leaves.

27th Day of SunhopeThe early morning of the twenty seventh day of Sunhope sees the Party deep in combat with a small force of goblins, hobgoblins and hobgoblin wizards. While the intial groups of goblins seem to have been dealt with, its clear the fight is not over.
Grud continues to make life unpleasant for a hobgoblin, but then, upon realising another wave of goblins is on the way in and having heard shouts of goblins near the wagon, decides to return to the wagon. Trem, is thinking along similar lines but is still occupied to the North with a group of interested goblins. He locates a hobgoblin wizard and takes it out. Lyra's screams have come to an end, and a huge grey white wolf emerges from the bush, shaking the sleep from its head. Lyra Wolf warms up by catching a red goblin from behind and, clamping her jaws around its neck, rips it head off, finding herself covered in an miasma of fire and blood as the red goblin explodes, finally meeting its fate. The wolf lopes North looking for more victims.
Clem takes out one goblin near Trem and then moves to the rear of the wagon to check on the children. Aldazr, with his much superior vision, calls out new groups of goblins closing on the party and continues blasting targets as they present themselves. Elf is also busy around the nexus of the fight, taking out goblins with his new spear.
The new groups of goblins close quickly on the party, clearly very keen to meet their god. Grud, deciding the wagon is safe and unable to resist the temptation, returns to the gap between two piles of snow and blocks a group of more than seven goblins coming in from the south. He proceeds to use his new glaive with terrifying skill, killing multiple goblins each round.
A larger group of goblins is charging along the road, straight at the wagon. Behind them two hobgoblins are targeting the enemy magic users and succeed in dropping Aldazr. Trem rushes back to defend Aldazr and gives him a goodberry, preventing him from slipping towards the final sleep. Lyra Wolf catches another goblin and tears his face off with one bite. The Party members back at the wagon hear the sounds of goblin screams and bones crunching out in the darkness. A new group of goblins see this and scream in fear but leap to surround the monstrous wolf.
Clem has decided to finish off the goblins standing in his spike growth and uses spike whip to grab one and drag him through the spike growth, ripping his body to shreds. This eventually scares the remaining goblins into trying to run. They don't make it out.
Lyra wolf battles the group around her, this time ripping at them with claws, assisted by elf. Finishing up she runs into the middle of the group on the road and lets out a horrendous howl that causes many of them to turn and run away as fast as they can. A couple run past Grud and meet their ends as he clips them with his glaive. Aldazr blasts one trying to get to the back of the wagon.
The fight is pretty much over, with goblins streaming away in all directions. One goblin avoids a strike by Lyra and then by Elf, then again by Lyra. The sounds of jaws snapping close by its head. He looks like he may make it, but is eventually killed by ELf. Lyra Wolf and Elf harass and kill two hobgoblins and a hobgoblin wizard running away, then return to the Party.
There are goblin bodies, blood and explosion sites all over the place. Trem begins to tidy up, helped by Lyra Wolf who eats parts of goblins left lying around, the horrible sound as she breaks into bones echoes across the battle ground.
The Party have killed over forty goblins, three hobgoblins and three hobgoblin mages. Some managed to escape though. The party join up back at the wagon as the sun begins to rise on the 27th day of Sunhope. The Party are five days out of Selenpak with what they hope is five days to go before they reach Brigton.

26th Day of SunhopeThe party, a little worried that leaving a single white female in the middle of nowhere with little to defend herself and no way to communicate, decide to try and encourage the goblins to attack them. The approach they land on is to pretend to fix a perfectly good wheel on the wagon. Trem and Aldazr head off to a bush (don't ask) where Aldazr casts invisibility on Trem, who heads back and hides in the wagon, while he, still visible, heads to see if their friend and colleague is still ok. Upon arriving at the Temple, Aldazr finds himself locked out as Moretha has located the Temple's porcullis system, allowing her to drop up to three portcillises along the passageway into the Temple.
Aldazr gives a stone to Moretha and explains their use. He then heads back to the Party. He returns to the Party shortly after lunch. While he is away, Lyra decides to scout the location of the goblins that Clem and his owl had spotted and although she finds tracks of them heading North West, she does not fnd any goblins. Shortly after lunch the Party head off again, happy enough that Moretha will be safe.
The rest of that day is uneventful and the Party camp for the night. In the third watch Aladazr feels a tingle as someone attempts to cast a spell on him. Aldazr raises the alarm and those on watch immediately wake the others. With the excpetion of Aldazr the party have very limited vision. As the grooup prepare for battle, several arrows fly out of the darkness and skip past Aldazr, then one hits him. First blood to the gobbos.
Clem hides under the wagon and sends out his much smaller and more fragile animal friend, little owl. Aldazr with his superior vision starts to spot groups of goblines closing in from both North of the road and from the South. There are clearly hobgoblins and mages with the goblin troops. As the fight begins, Aldazr is hit by faerie fire, outlining him in a violet glow. Elf heads out south east to confront the goblin group heading in, killing two very quickly, but then finding himself surrounded and the centre of some unwanted attention from the eager little folk. Trem, having been given the nod by Clem also heads out south to do battle with the chattering hordes and joins Elf eager to use his dingaling in anger. By this point it is clear that there are longbows being used by enemies with exceptional night vision range.
Aldazr turns his attention to the North where he engages a hobgoblin mage. When he finally hits the mage, somehow the mage manages to switch places with a nearby goblin, who dies from the result of the attack,betrayed by one who should have been there for him
Lyra by this point has hidden in a bush near the wagon ready to snipe at any goblins that come in sight. Grud after briefly defending the wagon, shouts "Protect the wagon" and heads into the combat in the south, taking on some of the goblins fighting elf.
Clem, using little owl's sight out at 100' calls out there there are large numbers of gobins coming from the North. This is echoed by Aldazr who is also seeing more goblins move in from the North. (Fighters are in the South)
The fight continues in the South, with the three fighters taking out the core goblin group and engaging a hobgoblin. Clem casts his spike growth on one group to the North, only to find them ready to stop as soon as its noticed. A couple take quite a lot of damage, the rest are stuck. Trem, realising that Clem may soon be in trouble heads North of the road to join Aldazr dealing with a large group of goblins heading in.
The Party is then suprised to find that the goblins have exploding suicide goblins in their midst. Bright red ones that apprear stronger and faster than the others and are armed with a joyful need to kill themselves along with any enemy of rightoeus goblin kind. As soon as one of these delightful gobbos has grappled, it explodes. Two catch Trem like this, doing significant damage.
Lyra decides enough is enough and triggers her wolfen braclers. Terrible screams emanate from her location as the change takes her.
Clem is also attacked by an exploding goblin, doing significant damage. Elf takes out a hobgoblin and Grud follows suit.
The Party is braced for the next wave.
26/05/2023
25th SunhopeThe morning of the 25th sees the party attuning to the items they have selected. This culminates in Clem attempting to attune to one of the globes. Almost instantly Clem becomes unresponsive. Trem rushes over and finds that Clem has a pusle, though it does go up and down a bit, and his eyes are flickering. After some discussion Trem, wearing gloves and using an old sack slowly pulls the globe from Clem. As he goes to do so he notices a slight movement in the globe and, worried that there is a deeper connection to Clem, stops. The party then decide to used the sending wand to send a message and ask for advice.
At this point, Elf leaves the temple to test out his butterfly ring. When activated, two large butterfly wings sprout from his back and he is able to fly about. Lyra tests out her wolf bracers and turns into a huge wolf. Much larger than a natural wolf. ALdazr tests his leaping ring. Aldazr also determines he can talk to Lyra telepathicaly while in wolf form.
A message returns from Vanard, saying to distance Clem from the globe. Trem carries Clem out of the temple and then resorts to the gloves and bag mechanism and takes the globe over 100' away from Clem. This breaks Clem out of his stupor. Opening his eyes he sees Elf with butterfly wings and a huge wolf infront of the Temple steps. Lyra then runs off to hunt, followed by Elf. After a while Lyra returns, still in wolf form dragging a deer, she is accompanied by Elf. Elf starts cooking the deer for th evening meal. The party then go through items that havent been allocated and take some of the mundane items. Aldazr begins to read his magical manual. They decide to leave Moretha with a set of magical leather armour and the longsword from the slaver captain. The aprty settle down to a hearty meal with some wine that was found in some of the bottles.
26th Day of Sunhope
After a brief chat with Moretha, the party leave and continue on their travels to Brigton, returning to the road. Almost immediately Elf spots movement to the North and upon investigation by Clem's new familiar, a little owl , they discover that its a group of four goblins that have clearly been watching the party. The party begin to worry about leaving Moretha behind in the temple and decide to camp, hoping the goblins will be drawn to them.

21st Sunhope5 Ogres attack the party early in the night. A sixth turns up later and tries to avenge the death of its family, only to be ruthlessly killed by the party. At Clems and Moretha's suggestion Elf and Lyra backtrack the Ogres to their lair. They find it, and Elf returns to get the party.
When the party arrive they decide to check out the lair, concerned that it may contain more ogres. Lyra and Elf move in checking for traps. Finding two and a number of caltrops they eventually have the place checked. In doing so they have found a large main chamber and three smaller ones. One, inaccessible to the ogres, was clearly a priests refuge. Another was the sleeping space for the ogres and the third was a slightly tidier and used to store loot. The party also found a grate in the floor that detected positive for magic, but they were unable to open. When Moretha sees the altar, she seems to go into a trance and tries to get to it. The party, worried about her, prevent her to the point of tying her up. After being sure that the lair is empty, the party rest into the morning of the 22nd.
22nd Day of Sunhope.
The party spend the next two days clearing out the lair and going through all the items they find. They are left undisturbed. Nothing comes anywhere near the ogre lair unless it has a death wish. By the end of the 23rd the party have an inventory of anything useful.
24th Day of Sunhope
The party let Moretha get to the altar. She places both hands on it and a high pitched sound blasts out. It is only short lived, and then Moretha begins to chant. The pillars and the altar glow with a soft white light. This lasts about forty five minutes and then she drops to the floor unconscious. When she awakes the tells the party that she has been called to serve the temple and will stay.
Aldazr then begins to identify the magic items the party has located. This takes the best part of eight hours.
The party settles for the night in a cleaned out temple.

17th Day of Sunhope The party find themeselves outsie the North West gate of Selenpak. Elf rapidly decides to head off after Bren and the children. After a brief discussion the rest of the Party decide that they need to take the wagon with them as they are unlikely to come back.Elf has headed off up the road and moves as fast as possible while checking that no one has left the road. By the time it gets dark the party have caught up, able to travel a lot faster without the need to check the tracks. The whole group continue on carefully through the night with Elf out front by about 140'. Elf hears what sounds like birds arguing and soon comes across a body hanging by its feet in the tree.
The body is Bren. He has been skinned, apart from his head, and left hanginig upside down. Underneath is a sign that reads - Turn back or more will die. The Party have a very short discussion, deciding that the children will still be killed and they contiue on.
18th Day of Sunhope
A short while later, after dawn, the party come across a pile of rags. Fearing the worst as well as being ambushed, the Party approach the rags carefully. Elf lifts the blanket at the top and finds the children underneath. The party feed and warm the children, then continue on wanting to make some progress. Elf rests in the back of the wagon with the children.
The night passes uneventfully.
19th Day of Sunhope
The Party continue on throughout the next day, which is also fortunately uneventful. As is the night
20th Day of Sunhope
The 20th Day of Sunhope is also quiet. However that night in the 3rd watch (Aldazar & Grud + Elf) the party are attacked by goblins
The goblins initially come from the SE, but are soon coming from all directions, with two hobgoblins driving them on.
Clem hits them with a spoke growth, which breaks the initial charge from the SE. Elf runs in to attack more, with Lyra knocking goblins off their feet with her arrows.
Grud, standing by the fire moves over to wagon to protect the children with Moretha. Aldazar and Trem fight the other groups, supported by Clem who drops the SE spike growth and creates one in the NW. Followed by a fake darkness around Trem and himself
Elf finishes off the ones in the SE, including the hobgoblin and Lyra shoots one by the fire. Grud is surrounded by goblins and is supported by Trem and Aldazr.
The remaining hobgoblin runs, leaving a small group of goblins to die.
27/04/2023
The fight gets a little more difficult now. The top most hut has three guards in it, one in the door. The bottom is occupied by an unknown number, but Aldazr has placed a fire outside the door.The guard in the door of the top hut is killed quickly by Grud, when then next lines up to come out of the door, Lyra shoots an arrow through his mouth, killing him instantly. The last guard sticks his hands up. He is them told by Elf to lose his weapons and armor, which he starts to do.
At the lower hut, two guards leap Aladazr's fire and engage him, causing some damage. Trem rapidly joins him and starts to damage the two guards. They are shortly joined by Elf, who having told Grud that he will keep an eye on the prisoner, changes his mind and goes to help Trem and Aldazr. As he does, the Captian leaves his hut and attackes Trem from behind but misses. Trem pauses long enough to tell the Captain he will get to him in a minute and then continues with the guard.
Clem drops one of his fake darknesses on the group, who finish the guard and attack the Captain. The Captain moves to his left between the guards hut and his. Clem blocks any escape with a Spike floor. The Captain forces his way through up between his hut and the store room, to come face to face with Clem and Grud off to his right. Grud drops his Glaive and drawing his sword attacks the Captain Lyra has moved up and shoots Captain down between the huts. Both Elf and Aldazr also shoot at him. Clem runs round behind, drops the spike floor and blasts him behind. Despite healing himself and fighting on the Captain is killed. The prisoner tries to run but is shot and bought back by Elf.
The Party rescue the members of the clan, the two dwarves and the Goliath. They find out that Culain is the Chieftan of the Masan. The Party get everyone in the warm, bathe and feed them. Moretha has joined to help 17th Day of Sunhope. The next day the party load the wagons with the rescued people, the arms and armour of the guards and the food. They head back to Selenpak.
Back at Selepak the Party get the highlanders settled in the Inn and hand over the food to the inn keeper to use to look after them. They then go to the troopers barracks, only to find them all murdered. Throats cut. Checking surrounding houses there are still people in them but they didnt see anything happening in the barracks. Eventually they get to the house with Bren and the children and they have gone. Their personal items are left behind and the party thinks there was a scuffle inside. However no tracks are seen round the house. Elf notices that something big was on the roof. (Bigger than a bird) More tracks are eventually found outside the North West gate of the town. Lyra spots some child size tracks. They party decide to head off as soon as possible.
20/04/2023
15th Day of SunhopeIn Selenpak, Clem receives a guild info pack, and talks to a homeless clansman sheltering in the inn. Culain the clansman informs Clem that there are a group of southerners using clansmen as slaves nearby in a quarry.
16th Day of Sunhope
The next morning the party along with Culain head off to find the quarry with the intention of rescuing the clansmen who they think may be able to help them with their mission. (The party are also all against slavery). Culain stops at about halfway out, pointing the party in the right direction. The party continue and when they think they are close send Lyra and Elf on ahead. Lyra and Elf scount ahead and find a quarry being worked by clansmen slaves. There are also two Dwarves and a Goliath. The quarry is guarded by a number of professional looking guards who have three arbalasts trainined on the quarry workers. Lyra and Elf stay for three hours to watch then return to the party. The party decide to attack at once. The party move up to just inside the treeline on the East of the quarry. Lyra and Elf move to the West side and begin the fight by attacking the two guards on that side. Once the noise starts the rest of the party attck from the East. The party quickly deal with the active guards and are now left with an unknown number inside the huts.

12th Day of SunhopeThe part come across a smoking Dainhalt. Most of the buildings are blackened ruins. The party move up to the broken village gates and can hear a noise from furhter in. Entering and spreading out they focus on one of the remaining buildings. When they get close there are bugbears in the doors. Grud and Trem close on the front, with Clem and Elf, and Lyra and Aldazr on the back. The bugbears try to break out of the house as soon as possible. Clem uses a spike spell to hamper the ones leaving the rear, and Grud, Trem and Elf deal with the bugbears at the front.
Eventually all the bugbears are killed. The party find three children hidden underground. Looting the bodies and scavenging from houses, the party leave and head towards Selenpak, taking the two children with them. As they are travelling a hunter by the name of Bren catche sup with them and takes responsibility for the children. After 3 days thye arrive at Selenpak. The party settle the new family in Selenpak with the money they looted.
30/03/2023
As soon as the party get out onto the road to Selenpak, they are attacked by three giant rats that seem to focus on Trem. Clem immediately links the liquid to the rats focus on Trem. Later that day, more giant rats attack. The party deal with them pretty quickly, with Trem trying to lead them away from the party. However the rats are killed too quickly for it to be a problem.That night there is a slight alarm while Elf is on watch, but it turns out to be two lovers in the bushes.
The next day the party are attacked by more bandits. These fair no better than the last lot. Elf captures one, who seems to confirm that someone is sending trouble to the party. Elf lets him go.
End after fight with bandits on 10th day Sunhope

The party continue on towards Roadstream, stopping at night at inns. Trem and Elf guard the wagon, while the rest of the party stay in the inn. Lyra looks after Moretha. As the party get close to Roadstream the road gets quite quiet. This is explained somewhat when they are attacked by a Hill Giant. The giant throws a huge boulder that smashes one side of the cart. Fortunately, despite some trepidation, the party mangage to deal with the giant. Trem demonstrats an ability to interfer with an enemy's attack and reduce the impact on its target. The party spend the rest of the day fixing the cart, directed by Elf and then camp for the night. Arriving at Roadstream the party discover the town has been attacked by two more Hill Giants. They take the cart to be fixed properly and settle at an inn. The following day Elf goes to buy arrows and a long bow for Moretha and the others go to buy her some clotes. Aldazr gernerously buys her a very good set of winter clothing. The next morning the party leave the town, only to have a couple of bottles thrown at them as they are leaving. One smahes on Trem, covering him in its contents. The party decide not to chase the perpetrators.16/3/2023
The two surviving bandits are interogated. Its clear that the female bandit has been press ganged into a life of crime. The party later find out that she was training to be a 'wise woman' (healer). Eventually she is freed by Lyra. As the party are interrogating the two a group of merchants arrive and one of the guards attempts to meet out terminal justice to the male bandit, he is not aware that there is a female bandit. 'Elf' steps infront of the guard and prevents him from carrying out his execution. The party continue on, stopping at the first inn of the journey. Here the group attempt to leave the male bandit, but can't and Lyra gets the female bandit cleaned and dressed in new clothes. Paid for by Aldazr. Grud discovers that the female bandit is called Moretha. The party continue on, meeting a patrol, to who they hand over the male bandit. Off to the west the group see a large cloud of smoke. Much more than a bonfire. Probbaly a building. The Party decide to focus on their mission. Shortly after the party are hit by another group of bandits. Five normal looking ones and three heavies. The party deal with them in short fashion.9/3/2023
The Party managed to get the wagon replaced in fairly short order and left the city. Time was limited that day and the party camped shortly after making it out of the city and onto the road. During the night the party was disturbed by the sound of a horse struggling along the road. Upon investigation it turned out to be a Hawk, who was in a very bad way. The party provided some healing and by the morning the Hawk was able to continue on to Vanard. The Party continued their journey North, only to be attacked by a group of bandits. They were swiftly dealt with, the bandits, and the Party have managed to keep two of them alive and are ready to interrogate them.The start
The Party met for the first time in The Demon's Kiss. Bileac ran through the proposed task with the Party. Count Damar Luprell will employ the group to undertake the following.- Travel to the Camplan Pass
- Either clear the area around the keep in the centre of the pass so that the Count can set up shop there or scout the area and report back on the strength and type of any opposition
- Recruit or encourage crafts people and farmers to relocate to the valley once settled.
